How to Design a Proper Landing Page A/B Test

September 22, 2015 17 Comments Pawel Grabowski

Scary, huh?

You’ve promised to increase that new landing page’s conversions and now everyone’s watching your hands.

And the idea seemed so simple at the time. You wanted to replicate split tests that worked for others and voila…. lift in conversions guaranteed.

But it didn’t work.

Implemented one by one, other people’s tests brought no result whatsoever.

F**k!

Social Media Marketing for Nonprofit Organizations

September 11, 2015 4 Comments Ana Gotter

Working with nonprofit organizations is something I’m very, very passionate about. I volunteer my professional services to two dog rescues as needed, and about a third of my clients are nonprofit organizations that I’m fortunate enough to help with their content marketing and social media marketing. The amount of marketing potential that lies within social media for nonprofits is huge.

There’s a ton of potential for nonprofits to market themselves successfully on multiple different platforms on social media, and several social media platforms are making it easier for nonprofits to market with them—Facebook, for example, has added a “Donate Now” CTA button, and Google Adwords has created Google Ad Grants, allowing qualifying nonprofits to run a certain amount of ads for free.

Social Media Marketing for Nonprofit Organizations

There are a large number of uses you can take advatange of when marketing your nonprofit on social media networks; you can promote the good you’re doing, increase awareness for both your cause and your organization, recruit volunteers, and start to accomplish goals (i.e., get more blood donations, dog adoptions, etc.).

Here’s a few ways you can get started and spread your wings with social media marketing for nonprofit organizations.

7 Techniques to Create a Hashtag that Boosts your Brand

September 3, 2015 12 Comments Ana Gotter

Hashtags are everywhere, even showing up in the corners of our TV screens when different shows and networks provides us with their pre-determined hashtags to help inspire conversation.

Though hashtags haven’t really taken off on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram both rely heavily on them. Hashtags can be used to find and connect with your target audience, generate conversation, and build your brand on social media sites.

After you’ve used hashtags to connect with members of your target audience, you can create your own hashtag that is specific to your brand, encouraging users to talk about you and your business (or to at least include you in the conversation). We’ve got 7 techniques to help you create a hashtag that boosts and accurately represents your brand, combining everything we’ve learned about the best (and worst) practices of the hashtag.

Oh I bet you know this feeling so well.

Finally, you hit publish and…

…there’s nothing.

The next few days brought just a trickle of traffic. But that breakthrough you were hoping for didn’t happen.

F**k!

And all for a very simple reason – poor or even lack of promotion.

How We Really Make Decisions (According to Research)

August 12, 2015 4 Comments Pawel Grabowski

Note: We’re expanding the topics we’re covering on AdEspresso. From now on you can expect us talking not only about Facebook ads but also discuss other topics you are hugely interested in.

The first of them is conversion rate optimization.

And to kick it off we decided to look at some traits of human behavior to see how they affect our buying choices and how to use this knowledge in improving conversions.

Like decision making, for instance.

Because, you know, turns out we’re not that great at making decisions after all.

From 0 to $1.2M RunRate (and profitability!) in just 5 quarters. 9 lessons learned in creating an impossible company

July 28, 2015 11 Comments Armando Biondi

This is one of the most difficult posts I’ve written to date. Seriously. Sooo many  things I’d want to stuff in here. But, you know: it’s as much about what you put in, as it’s about what you leave out. So I’ll leave out how this has been an impossible company from pretty much the beginning, for a whole bunch of reasons. AdEspresso shouldn’t have existed. Period. Because according to lots of people, it’s impossible to make the switch from a service-oriented team to a product-oriented team. If you ever did it, investors don’t put money in something even remotely connected to the AdTech space anymore, so it’s impossible to raise funding.
